Centrifugal
Cast Balls
KEF Holdings has added another efficient and cutting
edge technology to satisfy the needs of customers in
Ball Valve industry.
In centrifugal casting, molten metal is poured into a
spinning metallic die. Centrifugal forces during
spinning allows flow of heavy metal to outside diameter
and lighter oxides and impurities are restricted to
inside diameter of casting.
The metal solidifies from outside in, leaving no
mid-wall shrinkage or porosities. Impurities in the
inside bore are machined out to have defect free casting
with no shrinkage or gas cavities. The casting produced
has a structure very close to a forged product.
Process
1. Centrifugal Casting
2. Heat Treatment
3. Machining
4. Finishing (grinding - polishing)
5. 3 Dimensional Inspection
Machining
High productivity CNC Machines operated by qualified and
motivated operators ensures quality product with close
tolerances according to Customer Drawings.
Finishing
SAFOP most advanced technology grinding/polishing
machine impart true sphericity and surface finish to
balls for smooth and trouble free operation of soft and
metal seat valves. Machine can finish ball castings from
6” to 36” size with or without stem.
3 Dimensional Inspection
3 D Coordinate Measuring Technology enables exhaustive
inspections guarantee machining quality, in accordance
with customer Drawings and Specifications.
Our product:
Centrifugal balls from size 10’’ to 20’’.
Finished statically casted balls from size 24’’ to 42’’.
